They say love is supposed to heal, to make you whole. But I've only seen it ruin things-slowly, silently, and without mercy.
I wasn't the kind of girl who believed in love, especially not the kind that grows between enemies. And definitely not with someone like him-cold, dangerous, feared by most, and hated by the rest. He wasn't kind or gentle. He didn't offer sweet words or soft touches. He wasn't made for love.
But somehow, he became mine.
And what's worse-I became his.
He was fire in human form, a storm wrapped in silence, and I knew he wasn't safe. Not for the world. Maybe not even for me. But when he looked at me, I wasn't just another name in the rivalry. I was his. And that meant something. It felt like something real.
I told myself I could trust him. That maybe, just maybe, love could exist even in the middle of destruction.
But love doesn't save people like us.
It devours.
And it doesn't stop until there's nothing left.
I thought I could survive loving him.
I was wrong.

I felt him before I heard him.
That quiet presence, heavy and still. The kind that made the air feel tighter, like something was about to snap. He always carried silence like a weapon. And even now, standing behind me, calm as ever, I could feel the storm humming beneath his skin.
I didn't turn around.
"Why are you here?" I asked, my voice steady, even though my heart was anything but.
A long pause. Then his voice-low, deep, and dangerous in that familiar way that used to make me weak.
"For you," he said.
I let out a bitter, broken laugh.
"You used me. Lied to me. You didn't even flinch while tearing my world apart. And now you show up and say that like it means something?"
He doesn't blink. Doesn't move. Just stands there, breathing like he's holding something barely caged.
"You don't get to claim me. Not after everything."
He steps closer. I take a step back, but the wall stops me. He doesn't.
"That's the problem, isn't it?" I whisper. "You think I'm yours-like I'm something you can own. Like you didn't wreck everything and still expect me to fall into your arms."
"I never lied about how I felt," he says, voice low and sharp. "Not when it started. Not now."
I search his face, trying to find a crack-anything real. Anything that tells me this isn't just another part of the game.
But his eyes? They look like they'd burn down the world if I asked.
"You still don't get it," I whisper, trying to sound steady. "You ruined everything."
He leans in, close enough that his breath brushes my skin.
"I ruined everything for you."
And just like that, my heart stumbles.
His hand lifts to my chin, tilting it up-not rough, but not soft either. Controlled. Like he's always one breath away from breaking.
"I've been patient," he says, voice dark and deliberate. "Let you hate me. Let you run. Let you lie to yourself."
I try to look away, but he doesn't let me.
Then comes the smirk-that slow, cruel one I used to crave. The one that always meant trouble.
"I've held back long enough," he murmurs, voice brushing against my ear like a threat.
"Now I'm done waiting, time to make you mine Little Wolf."
